St. Anthony’s Canossian Primary School started with a dozen pupils in Middle Road when the first four Canossian Sisters stepped foot in Singapore in 1894.

It was relocated in Bedok in 1995 and now has a pupil population of 1860. St. Anthony’s Canossian Primary School is more than a century old and continues to provide our pupils with a Canossian style of education which has benefitted many generations of pupils.

Our Canossian Education aims at forming the hearts and minds of our pupils so that they will grow to be integrated persons in society and the world.

We strongly believe that forming the heart of the child is of utmost importance because the affective part of the child has a powerful bearing on her holistic development.

To this end, we nurture our pupils in an atmosphere of warmth and affection so that they will experience joy in learning and growing. We are certain that in our partnership with parents and the community, we will be able to fulfill our mission in educating our pupils to be conscientious and other-centred.

In the spirit of Canossa
